I don’t have “D” tuners either but here’s a little trick that you can use to play Earl’s Breakdown. We all like the lessons that show us a trick or shortcut when playing the banjo. This is a cool one! In this video I’ll show you how to get that cool bending sound out of your banjo without touching a tuner!

p.s. If you already have “D” tuners then you can skip this lesson if you want, however this banjo lesson does contain a skill that will make you sound like a pro. Enjoy!

Ok, here is a tune in the key of C. In this video I’m going to show you some cool C position licks. Playing the banjo in the key of C can prove to be a real challenge if you’re not familiar with the little C licks that smooth out the position on the fretboard.

We cover two “pinky bends” on the fourth fret and another way to play the fifth fret C plus much, much more. This vid will take a minute to download simply because it goes into some detail, but it’s worth the wait.

I’m going to tag this one as an expert video but I encourage everyone to watch it. We just don’t learn this C chord stuff soon enough as newbie banjo players. Enjoy!
