“Shady Grove” Here it is! Bob R, one of our members, asked for this lesson. He requested to have a simplified beginner style lesson of Shady Grove and an Expert level, so here is the beginner lesson to Shady Grove.
I kept it simple and outlined the melody. You’ll find that we use the alternating roll alot in the beginner’s edition of this banjo lesson. I’ll be adding the Expert level lesson soon!

Scott, I don’t believe that I have tabs up for Shady Grove. I may possibly put them up in the future. When we do I’ll let you know. Just make sure that you’re signed up on for our e-zine. This is where I will release this news. Thanks, Ryan
I’ll check on the status of the video. If anyone else has trouble let me know. Thanks, Ryan
Nice tip, I figured it matter but I never knew the place my finger just behind fret. Love these tidbits. Good solid knowege with no flibityflam.
Ryan,
As of today, Nov 14, I cannot access the video lesson on Shady Grove. I click on How To Play Shady Grove on the Banjo (this one’s for you Bob)
just above and I don’t get access to it.

I just joined a few days ago and was wondering if the tabs here on your site for “shady Grove”. Scott
Keep us updated on your progress. Let me know if you have any lesson requests. Thanks, Ryan
Hi, I came upon your site in hopes I can resume banjo. I admit I got disgusted because I couldn’t find anyone to show me how to put a song into the rolls I learned. So, here I go, again. Hopefully better than last time.
Thanks
