    Hi Ryan–great site.

    Today I heard a musician talk about “tuning down” his instrument. He was on NPR in Austin and it was after he was done performing. By tuning down, does he mean he is de-tuning (removing tenions) from his instrument to save the life of his strings you think? Ever heard of that?
