“Jesse James” Part 1 of 2

In this video banjo lesson we work through the “A” part of Jesse James. This tune has a lot of standard banjo licks mixed throughout. A great tune to learn to get some of the more complex banjo rolls.

when you were going thru the break full speed , on my video timer it was at about 1.02 the lick you did just before the last lick ..how do you do that lick … you may have gone over it before on other songs but i cant find it .. and you dont go over that lick when you teach it slow …unless i missed it

Jim, I am so glad to have you on the site as a member! You have such a wonderful positive attitude. You are going to learn a lot and be playing the banjo very soon. Please keep us posted on your progress. By the way I’d love to see a video of you playing some banjo rolls sometime or maybe even your first banjo tune. Thanks, Ryan

I signed up yesterday and can’t play a note on the banjo but I have already gotten my money’s worth from the site because I now believe I can learn. My age is 84 so I must learn in a hurry.
