Here are two of the seven most common mistakes that banjo players make. I’m going through our popular article “The 7 Most Common Mistakes of Banjo Players! + The Banjo Secret!” in video format. We’ll talk a little more in depth about each mistake and add a lot more to the Banjo Secret! You won’t want to miss these banjo videos!

Our next video lesson will show you how to play the bending part of Earls Breakdown withOUT “D” tuners.

Yes, the answer is that you need to memorize smaller parts of the song in one sitting. Don’t try to memorize the song all at once. Learn it in pieces. Thanks, Ryan

Hi Ryan . I’ve just joined the ‘clan’. I’ve been ‘boiling the cabbage’ for some months now and can follow tab fairly well but I think following tab can be a hindrance at times. I would like to memorize a song rather than have to follow the tab but I seem to have a short memory! Can you advise me on a course of action to overcome this?

P.S. What’s a banjo picker like you doing with such a beautiful family?
(Sorry, English humour!)
